How to use
Select an image or video
Choose one local image or video with the file picker or drop it onto the input. Inspection starts immediately.
Review the basic information
Review the file name, declared MIME type, byte size, and dimensions. Videos also show their duration.
Copy the report
When the report is ready, copy the information as plain text with one field per line.
Scope of the result
Inspect one local file declaring image/* or video/*. Files over 50 MiB, broken media, and videos with unsupported codecs do not produce a report. Files never leave the browser.
Frequently asked questions
- Are images or videos uploaded to a server?
- No. Inspection and report creation happen in your browser, and files are never sent elsewhere.
- Which image and video formats are supported?
- Files declaring image/* or video/* are accepted. The formats that can actually be read depend on your browser.
- Does it show EXIF or codec information?
- Images show display-oriented width and height. Videos show width, height, and duration. EXIF, codec, and other detailed metadata are not dumped.
