How to use
Upload an image
Click "Select Image" and choose an image file with a background you want to remove. Works best with green screen or blue screen images.
Select the color to remove
Use the color picker to choose the target color, or click directly on the preview image to pick a color with the eyedropper.
Adjust tolerance and smoothing
Use the Tolerance slider to control how wide a range of colors to remove, and the Smoothing slider to soften the edges between transparent and opaque areas.
Save as transparent PNG
Click "Save as Transparent PNG" to download the image with the background removed in PNG format.
Frequently asked questions
- Are my images uploaded to a server?
- No. All image processing happens entirely in your browser. Your images are never sent to any server, ensuring complete privacy.
- Can I remove colors other than green?
- Yes. You can specify any color using the color picker or the eyedropper. Blue screens, white backgrounds, or any solid color background can be removed.
- What is the output format?
- The output is always PNG to preserve transparency. Even if you upload a JPEG or other format that doesn't support transparency, the output will be PNG.
- What is the difference between Tolerance and Smoothing?
- Tolerance controls the range of colors to remove. Higher values remove colors that are further from the target. Smoothing controls the softness of the boundary between transparent and opaque areas for a more natural result.
